As he continues to hear from local businesses and workers about their priorities of more jobs and a stronger economy, Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) today discussed two jobs bills that the House will consider this week. Following are Boehner’s remarks:
“House Republicans continue to make America’s priorities our priorities, and that means focusing on jobs and the economy. This week we’ll pass two more bills that will help expand economic opportunity and security for America’s middle class. One to make the research & development tax credit permanent, and the other to expand access to charter schools.
“You know, last week we learned that economic growth in the first quarter was an anemic one-tenth of one percent. But sitting over in the United States Senate are nearly 40 pro-growth jobs bills that will deliver the type of economic growth that the American people are demanding. I think President Obama should call the Senate leader and demand that these bills be brought to the floor of the United States Senate.”
