Today, Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) issued a statement in support of Governor John Kasich’s request to the federal government for a major disaster declaration following severe storms that hit Ohio from June 29 to July 2:

“The devastating storms that swept through our state this summer caused costly damages and widespread power outages.  With a major disaster declaration, we will be able to ensure state and local authorities have the resources necessary to provide assistance to the citizens in affected areas.  I join my fellow members of the Ohio Congressional delegation in support of Governor Kasich’s request for a major disaster declaration and urge President Obama to approve the request immediately.”
