Still Waiting for Answers on Benghazi
Posted by Press Office on November 09, 2012

On October 25, Speaker John Boehner sent a letter to President Obama asking him to answer several key questions and concerns about his administration’s response to the terrorist attack in Libya.

The president still hasn’t responded.

“Americans remain concerned and frustrated about how your Administration has handled the response to the attack,” wrote Boehner. For example, “The American public is increasingly reading information contradicting early accounts by your Administration of the causes of the events of the day.”

The administration itself has been a source for much of the confusion. USA Today highlights aCBS News interview from September 12 where President Obama “said it was ‘too early to tell’ whether the attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya was an act of terrorism.” Weeks later, the president claimed he had labeled it a “terrorist attack” the day after it occurred. The American people deserve an explanation.

Speaker Boehner also asked whether Ambassador Stevens ever made “any direct observations or [raised] any concerns” to the president or his staff “about the security situation” Libya. Fox Newsreports that “[t]he president did not give a yes-or-no answer” when “asked pointedly whether the Americans under attack in Benghazi, Libya, were denied requests for help during the attack.” Again, the American people deserve an explanation.

Petraeus must testify on Benghazi,or all the facts, the truth, may never be known.

First thing on my list is why hasn't the Republican party ever questioned the authority of the president to install all of these Czars in office. We are paying for their very hefty salaries and he bypassed Congress to hire them. Half of these people are members of the communist party, have we become a communist party???? Second, I believe that you know this one, we must not pass Obamacare as it will lead us into bankruptcy and people will find it easier to let the government support them instead of finding jobs. Today people are making more money relying on their government entitlements then they would by getting a job. Obama care will ruin this nation and the people in it. My husband and I have worked hard all our lives and find it hard to believe why people don't have the same work ethics that we and our parents before us had. If the government continues to have people rely on them then they will never help themselves. This is what Obama wants so that he can have his socialists nation. This is how Hitler started and the Republican party needs to stand up to Pres. Obama and make sure that we don't go that way. My husband and I are staunch Republicans but we are so disappointed in the Republican Party as they seem to be sitting on their hands and letting the president get away with bypassing the Senate & Congress to do as he pleases. He has become a dictator and our representativces, both Democrat & Republican are leting him get away with it. Shame on all of you if this great nation of ours falls apart and makes our forefathers turn over in their graves.

Get over it. It is not a significant issue.

Number One: Push for one panel to review all the information regarding the Benghazi travesty. Without people like Harry Reid as a members. Choose only people who will be able to 'TELL THE TRUTH', members who will follow the constitution regardless of their party affiliation. Number Two: Get this President vetted. Number Three: There seems to have been so much Voter Fraud. When I hear and read that the machines were purchases through a company in Spain that has close ties with George Soros, something smells fishy! Our elected leaders need to TAKE ACTION before the votes are certified! Thank you for listening. I will help in anyway I possibly can as I tried for Governor Romney and Lt. Colonel Allen West!

Petraeus has spoken the "truth" and we the people of America have been lied to by the President and members of his administration. The President must be impeached! In the view of many, Obama had earned impeachment even before the Benghazi tragedy of Sept. 11. His open abuse of power in making recess appointments when the Senate was not in recess, his open defiance of Congress in his administrative amnesty for 2 million illegal aliens, his misuse of “executive privilege” in withholding documents pertaining to the illegal Fast and Furious gunwalking scandal – those actions alone qualify as impeachable offenses under the Constitution. Our national security is at risk!

It is obvious to me Obama lied about Benghazi and Petraeus. Someone should say "obama is a liar until he proves otherwise". Similar to Reids tax accusation... Except he was wrong Common sense says otherwise Romney would be in jail for tax evasion. Obama should be exposed for the liar he is. He thinks he can get away woth it... And he's been right so far. This will be the world longest investigation... But he said take the criticism to him.... So someone should do it!

How many times are we going to put up with an administration, that refuses us (Americans the truth and resolution into crimes with blood on them?

Would it be possible to react to the Bush Tax Cut problem by gradually phasing it in over say three or four years?

Move on. Ambassador Rice gave a very professional, non-political brief on the situation in Benghazi. As updates come in, they should be given to the public, but only after verification, otherwise you have mass confusion. This is a non issue.

You and the rest of the republicans need to get off your "butts" and vote for the tax plan that is waiting in the house. You have no viable alternative and American's are tired of the same old rhetoric that has been preached for the past 5 years. You guys lost, America has spoken get the message and move on in life. In any other job capacity you would have been Fired by the boss and would be feeling the pain most Americans have endured for to long. DO you even know what the hell is means to be unemployed, underfeed and without hope? I doubt it. You still party, eat out and travel with little regard to your constituents your only purpose is to be in the limelight to attain some unfathomable fame that makes you and fellow Republicans feel important. Our founding fathers would have put most of you in the stockades until you saw the light. Open your eyes, get your ears checked forget those ideas shared only by the elite few behind closed doors where ego's can be entertained or this will absolutely be the last time you "serve" in any government position You will be unseated in the next election....

Dear Mr. Boehner, Thank you for your dedicated service, at times I think you are the Joe Biden of the Republican Party coming from a true blue collar family like myself, but I'm sorry to have to say this but "Please", enough is enough, please stop it, Please Stop, PLEASE STOP. Why can't you just pass the bill and move on. Enough is enough. Its starting to feel like I'm being bullied by my own father the way you just keep on with your politics. I am from a very conservative line of upbringing and my parents are fed up, they have stopped voting Republican. They ask me what has happened. What changed the Republican Party from a party for the people to a party for the corporations. Please for once stop thinking for the party that sold out to the corporations and really do something for us the real Americans in the damn trenches working the same damn salary for over twenty years while the corporations have sucked us middle class dry of any hope and wealth. Could you please stop being a bully, why aren't you being serious? You need to get Serious, stop being a bully. For the sake of my family and my children you are just adding continued stress with all your bullying. My children keep asking me why you are being like a bully and can't work with people and how come you are acting like that. Some of us have really had enough please just pass the bill lets move on OK. Deeply Concerned and Bullied American Citizen ... by his own party.

Please stop wasting time on anything but the budget and work with the President to get the tax cuts reinstated for the top 2% as the majority of Americans want the the country needs. You are playing games that we can no longer afford and no longer have the support to continue. Get to work!!!

    A full investigation is needed.

Dear Mr. Boehner, I too thank you for your service to our country. I appreciate your willingness to negotiate with the president on the fiscal cliff, and feel the president is not leading, he is still "taking his show on the road "and not negotiating in good faith. I own two small, small, businesses, which I started in the beginning of the recession. I employ a total of 10 people and take pride in creating jobs in this very tough economy. I believe that you have great leverage in that the House controls all spending, and the president' influence comes from giving things away. Without money he wont be able to give things away and then he will have to negotiate in good faith. Start defunding the government and you will see how fast he will negotiate. We need your leadership to cut the spending and balance the budget. Sincerely, Bob
