Read the Bill that Congress Didn't!On Friday, June 26, the U.S. House barely passed legislation that will send energy costs soaring, send American jobs overseas and punish responsible, hard-working, middle-class families. At 3:09 am Friday, an additional 309 pages were added to the bill that not one lawmaker read before voting. Using my privileges as the Republican Leader, I took to the Floor for more than an hour to read portions of the this amendment to the American people. |
